For PlayStation Netherlands I have designed and animated assests for their new YouTube channel and social media. I was responsible for creating various templates for leaders, lower-thirds and social media content. It was important to ensure that the content could be used later on by Playstations’ internal creative team.
Design Language
The goal was to make Playstations’ online content more cohesive and recognisable, and make it feel more exciting and of higher quality than their previous design.
Most design elements are created along a 10 degrees slanted angle, tying in with the Azo Sans font. Combining that with PlayStation’s already existing colors and symols, this creates a vibrant aesthetic recognisable along multiple platforms.
Formats
I designed and animated templates for 3 different YouTube formats: First contact, 100% insiders and For the win: masked.
Fun fact: even the video’s playing in the tv studio were designed and animated by me!
Social media
To promote new YouTube videos, PlayStation maily used social media channels like Instagram and Facebook. It was my job to create engaging social media content to attract viewers to the channel!
