I am Bas Moerland. A creative in media, specialized in motion graphic design.
I specialize in bringing ideas and stories to life through creative and impactful motion design. I have 8+ years of experience as motion designer. With a background in film and broadcast I have hands-on experience in editing, camera operation, sound design, direction and photography. I understand how every element of a visual narrative can shape and enhance the message.

Art Direction
Lead the visual direction of a creative project, preferably one that has an emphasis on moving visuals.
Motion branding
Animate your static brand assets in a way that captures the personality of your brand. As a systems thinker, I would love to think about how your brand moves on all different kinds of screens.
Creative short form editing
I have a strong knack of telling a story with visuals - I know what gets a viewer engaged and keeps your viewer watching. Animation, editing and sound design are all part of my skillset.
After Effects Template & Toolkit building
As an After Effects expert I can empower other creatives to quickly produce on-brand visuals by designing a template file. My philosophy is that a good toolkit should be inspiring artists and not limiting them.
Interactive web animation (Lottie, Rive)
Incorporate animation in your website that visitors can interact with.
When I’m not pushing pixels around, I like listening and making music. From a young age I have been singing, playing the guitar and playing with all kinds of synthesizers. In 2019 I completed the Electronic Music Advanced course at the SAE institute to bring my sound design skills to a higher level.
